‘Largest drug bust in recent history’: WCSO drug bust takes meth, coke, fentanyl and a known gang member off the streets

According to information released by Whitfield County Sheriff Darren Pierce, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives seized 201 grams of fentanyl, 3,060 grams of marijuana, 39 grams of methamphetamine and 28 grams of cocaine during the July 15 arrest of known gang member Alan Ulises Sias.
The following charges have been filed against Sias:

● possession with intent to distribute cocaine
● trafficking methamphetamine
● possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance (fentanyl)

● possession of tools for the commission of a crime

In a video posted to the WCSO Facebook page, Pierce stated, “This amount of fentanyl is enough to kill over 100,000 people,” and expressed his appreciation for the WCSO narcotics investigators involved in the month-long undercover operation, as well as to the citizens who supplied tips during the investigation.
Pierce added, “Let me be clear to the criminals of this county; if you continue to sell illegal narcotics here in Whitfield County, we will come after you; we will arrest you. You will not be able to hide.”
Sias, whose state incarceration record shows he was born in 1994, was released on parole on Sept. 30, 2024, from the Georgia Department of Correction’s Smith Transitional Center in Evans County after having served time on a 13-year sentence for a 2018 conviction for trafficking methamphetamine in Whitfield County.
SIms previously served time in state prison for a 2016 conviction on possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute in Whitfield County.
