Virginia Eaker Hefner

Mrs. Virginia Eaker Hefner, 67, of Dalton, departed this life, Saturday evening, Jan. 7, 2006, at Quinton Memorial surrounded by her loving family. She was born Dec. 22, 1938, in Whitfield County, daughter of the late James and Lillie (Black) Eaker.

She is survived by her sons and daugthers-in-law, Dwight and Sandra Hefner, Greg and Sandra Hefner, all of Dalton; daughter, Pam Hefner of Rocky Face; sisters and brother-in-law, Louise Roper, Irene Griddle, both of Tunnel Hill, Nettie and Howard Morrison of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Shane, Tiffany, Courtney, Alex and Allison Hefner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Ellis Chastain officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
