Whitfield County Superior Court

The following pleas were heard in Whitfield County Superior Court on Tuesday:

• Steven William Massingill, no address listed, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft by taking. He was sentenced to five years in prison.

• Kasey F. Pickard, 24, no address listed, pleaded guilty to possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of a concealed weapon. She was sentenced to 10 days in jail; 11 months and 20 days of probation; ordered to pay a $500 fine; must perform 40 hours of community service; must complete alcohol and drug abuse counseling; and must submit to random drug screens at her own expense. Pickard must also testify truthfully against any codefendants.

She was originally charged with three counts of illegal possession of prescription drugs and two counts of failure to keep drugs in their original container.

• Domingo Reza, 31, 930 Avenue E, Dalton, pleaded guilty to two counts of child molestation. He was sentenced to five years to serve, to be followed by 10 years on probation. As a condition of his probation, Reza must pay a $2,000 fine; must perform 300 hours of community service; and must register as a convicted sex offender.
