Opal Forrester Poindexter

Mrs. Opal Forrester Poindexter, 83, of Dalton, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Claude and Lucille Daniel Forrester and was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Poindexter; and son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Veda Poindexter.

Opal was a member of Highland Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jimmy Woods of Dalton; sister, Katherine Green of Dalton; grandchildren, Elaine and Ricky Treglown of Rome, Bryan and Mindy Poindexter of Cincinnati, Lori and Darryl Willis of Chatsworth, Suzanne and Brian Starks of Dalton, Barry and Heather Woods of Chatsworth and Brad and Shannon Woods of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Amber and Caleb Kresl, Shawn Treglown, Corey and Kristen Poindexter, Cody Coots, Hannah Starks, Brady and Bridget Woods; stepgreat-grandchildren, Mariah and Madison Willis and Hunter Starks; nieces and nephews.

Services are today at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Barry Gilreath Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday.
