Fitzgerald teacher accused of molesting teenage female student

FITZGERALD, Ga. (AP) — A Fitzgerald High School teacher accused of molesting one of his students has been arrested, police said.

James Cobb, a Junior ROTC instructor, was charged with one count of child molestation after he was arrested Oct. 6, said Fitzgerald Police Chief Bill Smallwood. Cobb was given a $5,000 bond and bonded out on Monday.

Police began an investigation after a 14-year-old female student told police that Cobb had molested her, said Smallwood, who declined to reveal specific circumstances of the complaint.
