DAWSONVILLE (AP) — Authorities are looking for a sniper who has fired several times in an area near Ga. 400.
The suspect shot at two homes, moving cars and several businesses late last month, Dawson County Sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Wooten said.
Wooten said a cleaning crew was inside one of the businesses when the shots were fired.
Wooten did not want to speculate on a motive or the possible age of the suspect.
“We’re trying to keep that close to the vest right now,” he said. “We’ve got some really good leads that we’re working on at this time.”
No one has been injured in the shootings, which occurred near Ga. 400 and Ga. 53.
Authorities have offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the shooter. Also, authorities have stepped up patrols in the area, Wooten said.
