The Creative Arts Guild will be opening a new gallery dedicate to featuring local artists soon.

The new gallery will be an addition to the Main Gallery and Gallery 111.

“We wanted to have a place where local folks can exhibit their work in an un-curated environment” said Guild director Tony Zanfardino.

The gallery will be adjacent to the music studios so people can take advantage of viewing the works while having the opportunity to listen to the music lessons given at the Guild.

“Local artists work very hard to produce their art and the Guild will support them by exhibiting these works” said Zanfardino.

“It is an opportunity for the community to view and support all the creative arts in the area”

The Guild had a busy week with the Noon Arts, featuring Jonathan Black, and Beat the Winter Blues, with the cast from Dalton Little Theatre’s new production of “City of Angels” and the trio of Bob Smith, Beth Blackburn and Laura Hall playing to capacity crowds.

“I want to thank the performer, the staff and all the volunteers that made these events possible” said Anne Farrow, president of the Guild’s board of directors.

Because of the great turnout, the Guild is going to extend both the Noon Arts Series and the evening performances.Duo Con Brio will perform at the next Noon Arts presentation and a Celtic Celebration and comedy night will be held in the evenings.

Local artists interested in showing their work should contact the Guild at 706-278-0168.

Information about the upcoming performing arts events can be found on the Guilds Web site at www.creativeartsguild.org.
