Mr. Arlie Francis Jr., 72, of LaFayette, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Nov. 11, 1934, in Cove Gap, W.Va., son of the late Arlie Francis Sr. and Beluah Horn. His granddaughter, Ashley Johnson also precedes him to death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sue Francis of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Patti Francis of Tunnel Hill and James and Carolyn Francis and Timothy and Trish Francis, all of Chatsworth; son and special friend, Robbie Francis and Vanessa Fortner; daughters and son-in-law, Teresa and Ken Lebrun and Linda Johnson, all of LaFayette; special grandson, James Francis Jr. of LaFayette; grandchildren, Sarah Francis, Joey Francis, Colby Francis, Robbie Francis, Katelin Francis and Amber Francis; stepgrandchildren, Adam Belk, Amanda Belk, Hannah White and Franklin and Destney Fortner.

Services are Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Ellis officiating.

Burial will be at United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.
