Ms. Edith Grace Spence, 79, of Dalton departed this life Thursday morning, June 5, 2008, at the Ridgewood Manor Health Care Center.

Grace was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Whitfield County, a daughter of the late Edd and Annie Gerdine Spence. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Elmer “Jack” Spence and sisters, Maude Pierce, Florence Wheat and Mary Mallett.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Debbie Law of Tunnel Hill; daughter, Teresa Law of Dalton; grandchildren, Kisha and Shane Stanley, Mikey Law and Taylor Law; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Grace Spence are today at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Clayton and the Rev. Clayton Brown officiating.

She will be laid to rest at the United Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Randolph, Mikey Law, Shane Stanley, A.J. Johnston, Kenny Bevins and Robbie Pierce.

The family received friends at the funeral home Saturday.
