Marie Mason Cook

Mrs. Marie Mason Cook, 87, of Marietta and formerly of Tunnel Hill, passed away Sunday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2009, in Kennesaw, Ga.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill and was a Red Cross volunteer with Hamilton Medical Center for nine and a half years before moving to Marietta.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Cook, in 1998.

Marie is survived by her husband, J.C. Scarbrough of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Cecil Tutor of Kennesaw; grandson, Dustin Smith of Kennesaw; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Elaine Mason, Silas and Lucy Mason, all of Cleveland, Tenn.; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Keely Hasty officiating.

Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Tunnel Hill.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
