Travis D. Faucett

Mr. Travis D. Faucett, 66, of Dalton, departed this life Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at the local hospital. Mr. Faucett was born Aug. 11, 1943, in Whitfield County, a son of the late William Roy and Maud Suddeth Faucett. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Earl Faucett; sisters, Vivian Henry and Martha Faucett. Travis was a member of the Dalton Elks Club and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Diane Faucett of Roswell; sister, Eleanor Jo Hunter of Smyrna; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Travis Faucett will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Mark Faucett, John Sisk, David Gibson, Chad Millinor and Ralph Thompson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be George King, Bobby Brown, Jimmy Moss, Jimmy Newberry, Clyde Willcocks, Al Johnson, Joe Kelly, Benny Frost, Buddy Mayo, Charles Bomar and many other friends. The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday.
