James Richard ‘Bud’ Grant Jr.

James Richard “Bud” Grant Jr., 76, of Smyrna, formerly of Dalton, passed away on April 28, 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Grant; two sons and their wives, Kurtis and Jen Grant of Roswell; Brad and Suzanne Grant of Marietta; two grandsons, Odin Frederick and Grayson James Grant; and sister and her husband, Betty and Carl Sanders of Tunnel Hill; nieces and nephews in Dalton and Canton, Ohio, also survive.

James served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Postal Service after 31 years. After retirement, he cared for patients and residents at Cobb Hospital and Presbyterian Village.  James will be greatly missed as a beloved husband, father, “Pop,” brother, uncle and friend.
