Neighborhood Toy Store Day will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 13. The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) Best Toys for Kids Award list will be announced that day.

The owners of Toys in the Attic in Dalton are participating in the event that will seek to spotlight the advice and service area families receive from the store and its employees.

Toys on the Best Toys for Kids Award list were chosen by more than 500 local toy store owners across the country. These toys are believed to “deliver exceptional value and expand a child’s imagination, invite discovery, and encourage creativity.”

“What makes this list particularly unique is that none of the toys are advertised on television,”  said ASTRA President Kathleen McHugh. “Most are made by small manufacturers and are only available at independent toy stores versus big box stores.”
