Mrs. Vivian Lucille Millsap, 80, of Chatsworth, departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at the Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Vivian was born on July 27, 1930, in Dalton, a daughter of the late Roy and Minnie Talley Grant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Edward Ray; her brothers, Paul Grant and William Grant; and her sisters, Pearl Hall and Deloris Cowart. Vivian was employed at Shaw Industries Plant 1 for over 28 years.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Garry McKeehan, Rocky Face; son, Terry Edward Ray, Chatsworth; brother, Roy Grant, Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Kenneth Kilgore, Summerville; sister-in-law, Vivian Grant of Resaca; grandson and his wife, Sean and Heather McKeehan, Tunnel Hill; great-grandsons, Dylan and Taylor McKeehan; special friends, Linda Addis, Rocky Face, Shirley Hawkins, Dalton, Paula Glover, Chatsworth, Betty Johnson, Dalton; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Vivian Lucille Millsap will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Bret Yaeger officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery beside her beloved husband. The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
