Lillian King Lawrence

Mrs. Lillian King Lawrence, 88, of Dalton, departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Lillian was born May 29, 1924, in Parkersburg, W.V. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred King and Marguerite Ross Buffington; her husband, Earl Lawrence; brothers, Richard and Carl King; and sisters, Geraldine Mowery and Aurelia McLaughlin.

Lillian is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Roy Lawrence of El Paso, Texas, Carl Lawrence of Boulder, Colo., and Richard and Debbie Lawrence of Severance, Colo. She is also survived by daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Spanjer of Dalton, Peggy Gardine of Goodland, Kan.; and a brother, Rodney King of Parkersburg, W.V. Lillian had 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lillian Lawrence will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Interment will follow with military graveside honors as she is laid to rest next to her husband.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
