Evelyn Elizabeth Adams

Ms. Evelyn Elizabeth Adams, 80, of Dalton, departed this life Saturday evening, Aug. 10, 2013, at her home. 

Evelyn was born May 18, 1933, in Spring Place.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ivena Amos Young; her father and stepmother, George W. and Lee Young; brothers, George W. Young Jr., Roy Young and Arvil Young.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Ray Townsend, Danny Townsend and Stacy Townsend, all of Fairmount; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Phil McEntyre of Fairmount, Diane and Shannon Payne, Vicky Adams, all of Calhoun; sisters, Grace Walker of Chatsworth, Barbara Franklin of Dalton and Betty Jean Temples of Rydal; brother, Arnold Young of Chatsworth; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Inurnment will be at New Hope-Kilgore Cemetery in Murray County.
