Dorothy Blalock Leonard

Mrs. Dorothy Blalock Leonard, 92, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Christine Hawkins Blalock and was preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Miller; second husband, J.T. Leonard; children, Charles Alvin Miller and Juanita Irene Miller; sisters and brothers.
Dorothy was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She loved flowers and cooking, but most of all she loved her grandchildren, family and friends.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jerry and Florence Miller of Dalton, Pat and Wayne Kidd of Parrish, Fla., Randall and Ellen Miller of Chatsworth, George and Marge Miller of Dalton, Margaret and Jack Davis of Chatsworth, and Dennis and Susan Miller of Woodstock; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Frida Blalock of St. Cloud, Fla., and Joe and Emily Blalock of Dalton; stepchildren and their spouses, Gordon and Shirley Bearden and Barbara McBee, all of Dalton; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gardener and the Rev. Neil Hasty officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home today from 5 to 9 p.m.
