Carlyn Sue Evans

Mrs. Carlyn Sue Evans, 72, of Chatsworth passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Mrs. Evans was a member of Central Church of Christ of Dalton. She graduated with the 1961 class of Dalton High School and received her associate’s degree from Dalton College.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Thomas and Dixie Mary Waits, and brothers, Donald Waits and Jerry Waits.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Evans; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Evans of Chatsworth, Celeste and Tim Timms of Crandall, and Carla and Mike Maret of Dalton; mother-in-law, O’Dell Evans of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, David and Yvonne Waits of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Eli Timms, Lily Timms, Shipley Maret and Thea Maret; special friend, Charles Bearden; several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Evans are today at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Ross Jordan, Bryan Collins and Kevin Tackett officiating. Interment will be at Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home Friday.
