Raymond Lamar ‘Huckabuck’ Boston Jr.,

Mr. Raymond Lamar “Huckabuck” Boston Jr., 58, of Dalton, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at Hamilton Medical Center.  

He retired as a truck driver and was a member of Mount Ridge Baptist Church.

Mr. Boston was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lamar Boston Sr. and mother, Eugenia Bonds Partlow Sneed.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy L. Saunders Boston; two daughters, Kimberly Michelle Boston and Morgan Whitney Boston, of Dalton; four stepchildren, Antonio Shawn Saunders, Michael David Hopkins, Dion Saunders, and Kimberly Renee Truitt; one sister, Debbie (Wilbert, Jr.) Martin of Stone Mountain; three grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; stepbrothers, Eddie James Moore Jr. and Veron Boston; aunt, Margaret McMeans; mother-in-law, Catherine Saunders; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral is Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry D. Jones Sr. and other ministers officiating.  His remains will be at the funeral home on Monday after 11 a.m.  and the family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m.

Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery.
