Area arrests, 2-10

• Denzel Abrams, 24, 2745 Storybrook Court, Grayson, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by receiving stolen vehicle, driving while license is suspended or revoked and obstructed view (windshield/wiper violation).

• Tashombania Briscoe, 20, no address, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with theft by receiving stolen vehicle.  

• Jordan Deandre Childs, 22, 809 Clark St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with felony failure to appear, two counts of misdemeanor failure to appear and two counts of misdemeanor probation violation.

• Gary Lynn Hayes, 31, 104 Mallory Drive-A, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Gary Andrew Long, 40, 96 Old Federal Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth.

• Karla Lizette Luna, 21, 1608 Meadowlark Drive, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Phillip Wayne McCoy, 57, 1485 Pleasant Arbor Road, Waleska, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Vernon Edward Redmond, 51, 89 Hooker Lane, Crandall, was charged Monday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Hector Charles Rogers, 41, 1085 Maple Grove Church Road, Chatsworth, was charged Monday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• James Cody Watkins, 18, 1311 Fleece St., Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with financial transaction card fraud.
