“Another fake story going around that liberals loved Fidel Castro. I know nobody that loved him or ever heard anybody outside of Cuba liking him. Republican lies, Trump taught you how.”
“I wish Whitfield County still had a road department.”

“Did you see the recent news about the Signal Mountain (higher income) area wanting to secede from the Hamilton County Schools? Maybe Westwood, Brookwood, Dalton Middle and Dalton High could secede from Dalton Public Schools to take only the upper elite. Then, they could give the rest of the schools to the county. Problem solved!”
“Megyn Kelly got $6 million for the book she is writing, $15 million for this year’s contract. The bidding for her next contract is starting at $20 million. She is good at something.”
“If you wanted to see a great Christmas parade, you should have gone to see the one in Chatsworth. It was really good. Lots of actual floats with scenery and lots of lights. Very few commercial entries and none of the usual cars with lights on them as in the Dalton parade. A great job by Murray County!”
“In response to Walter Williams’ column ‘Let’s fight tyranny,’ I’m ready when you are, sir. You pull the trigger first, I’m right behind you.”
“The headline read ‘When will Trump voters know when they’ve been had?’ Shoot, I knew that back in 2008.”
“This is just a reminder that the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, UPS will be out very late in the evening delivering packages, so if you hear a big commotion on your front porch it may be one of those folks delivering packages.”

“Another high school football season has come to a end. Congratulations to all of the teams, players and coaches. I can’t wait until next August when they kick off again.”
“The race for the open state Senate seat is very interesting. I like that there are five people in the running, but I don’t like that we only have a few weeks to hear from them and find out where they stand on the issues. It would have made more sense to narrow the pack with some sort of primary.”
“Trump ran his campaign on a promise to ‘drain the swamp,’ meaning getting rid of the powers that be in Washington, D.C., and bringing in new blood. Doesn’t look like he is living up to that campaign promise.”
“Finally we are getting a nice soaking of rain. It feels like it’s been months since we had a few good days of rain. Hopefully this will help lower the chances of any more forest fires.”
“It’s really great to see the new restaurants opening in downtown Dalton. Are we seeing a downtown renaissance? I sure hope so. Downtown once was bustling with action but has fallen on hard times recently. Here’s to continued growth!”
“So who do you all think will be the Democratic and Republican nominees for 2020?”
“The lack of citizen involvement in local government is frightening. Seems the only time anyone gets involved is after a property tax increase is voted in. We need a more engaged public on the front end; not after it’s too late.”
