Area Arrests for July 16

• Lacinda Nicole Self, 34, 19 Whispering Winds Lane, Ellijay, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• David John Carter, 39, 249 Pioneer Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with criminal damage to property (business).

• Jose Cazares, 43, 198 Reno Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth, probation violation, failure to appear and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Billy Eugene Clark, 69, 212 Squirrel Ave., Cohutta, was charged Friday by the Varnell Police Department with DUI (drugs) and driving on a divided highway, controlled access road or emergency lane.

• Simone Shandra Davis, 22, 914 S.W. Crawford St., Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Kara Star Elswick, 38, 1306 Underwood St.- 408, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Dalton Police Department with theft by taking, forgery and obtaining/attempting to obtain drugs by forgery.

• Nicolas Ochoa Olguin, 25, 275 Brackett Ridge Loop, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession to distribute meth, possession of a schedule 4 drug (other), possession of marijuana, trafficking in and possession of meth, felony possession of a firearm/knife during commission of a crime and driving an unsafe or improperly equipped vehicle.

• William Corey Payne, 30, 3116 Necter Drive, Powder Springs, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony failure to appear.

• Hector Alfredo Silva, 21, 4517 Mitchell Bridge Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth.

• Ronald Lee Wages, 42, 910 N. Fifth Ave., Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Jimmy Shawn Burkett, 36, 184 Point Settaway Road, Resaca, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s office with burglary, violation of probation and three counts of obstruction of an officer.

• Carl Brandon Coffett, 27, 1254 Old Dalton Ellijay Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, willful obstruction of law officers and noise regulations.

• Jessica Danae Kean, 20, 507 Sycamore Road N.W., Dalton was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.

•Joel Kristan Swanson, 57, 355 Holly Creek Springs Road, Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI.
