“Dalton High School students, please use crosswalks when crossing Waugh Street. In the last few weeks, I’ve watched three students come close to getting hit by a car because of standing in the median. Your life is important, let’s be smart!”

“My wife and I had a fight. We settled it by reaching a compromise: I do everything she says and she’ll say everything I do. Makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?”

“What do you think your purpose is here on Earth? What about mankind, in general? I’d be interested to see some of your answers.”

“Infrastructure, not some stupid wall. The roads around here are terrible.”

“How can you watch baseball when it’s as boring as watching paint dry? I’m not a fan.”

“I was calling regarding bullying. Many years ago my daughter was bullied in high school. Finally, us as parents, we got it stopped. But I have some information. The girl that was doing the bullying is now serving jail time because she bullied and abused her parents. Beware that if your child is bullying, stop it, go to the school officials and get help. If they don’t, go to someone else and complain because if they’re bullies they’ll continue to bully when they’re an adult.”

“I agree with the person that called in about the roads being cluttered up, trashed up and junked up. My suggestion is get those darn prisoners off the basketball court and get them out and clean up the roads. They need to be working instead of sitting on their tails watching TV and playing basketball.”

“Can you imagine if the ‘Blizzard of ’93’ occurred today? Those climate change people would go nuts.”

“Is there any store in Dalton or close by that sells footlong hot dog buns? If there is, I would like to know.”

“Does anyone know the date when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will officially be sworn in as speaker of the House?”

“I think Haig Mill Lake Park should allow dogs. When are they going to allow dogs at the lake?”

“I hadn’t driven down Highway 41 South in years. To my surprise when I went that way there’s a roundabout in the middle of Highway 41. Whose bright idea was it to put a roundabout in the middle of historic Highway 41? It’s just disgraceful.”

“I have a Donald Trump hat, I have a Donald Trump T-shirt and I have a Donald Trump pair of pants. I was wondering if there was someone out there who could tell me where I could find some Donald Trump underwear.”

“The landlord who says he doesn’t go up on rent if people take care of his property is to be commended. They are few and far between. If I’m ever in the market for a house, I’ll be sure to look you up.”

“There is a blighted building that is on North Hamilton Street. It has no roof. Hope the city can take care of it.”

“The shows ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette,’ I’d like to know the percentages of the winners that are still together.”

Editor’s note: According to the website Insider, “Though ‘The Bachelor’ has been airing for 22 seasons now since 2002, only one couple from the show is still together. Meanwhile, out of 14 seasons of ‘The Bachelorette’ since 2003, six of the couples are still together.” That doesn’t include the most recent season of “The Bachelor.”
