George Santos sues late-night host Jimmy Kimmel for tricking him into making videos to ridicule him

Former U.S. Rep. George Santos is suing late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. Santos says Kimmel deceived him into making videos on the Cameo app that were used to ridicule the disgraced New York Republican on air. The lawsuit alleges that Kimmel misrepresented himself to induce Santos to create personalized videos capitalizing on and ridiculing Santos’ “gregarious personality.” The videos were used on Kimmel’s show for a segment called “Will Santos Say It?” A Disney representative listed as a media contact for Kimmel’s show did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment Saturday. Santos was expelled from the House of Representatives last year. He has pleaded not guilty to numerous criminal charges.

A suspended magistrate judge in Pennsylvania is accused of shooting her estranged boyfriend in the head as he slept last weekend. Susquehanna Township Police filed attempted murder and aggravated assault charges on Thursday against 57-year-old Magisterial District Judge Sonya McKnight. Investigators allege she had gunshot residue on her hands an hour after Michael McCoy was shot in the bed of his home in the Harrisburg area early Saturday. McKnight was in the Dauphin County Prison on Friday with bail set at $300,000. No lawyer was listed for her in court records. Authorities say McCoy is now blind in his right eye.
