Dalton Utilities reports no accidents in December

Dalton Utilities had no incidents that led to lost time and no incidents required to be reported to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in December, according to a report presented to the utility’s board.

For 2023, the utility had one lost-time incident and six OSHA recordable incidents.

In December, the utility reported no water permit violations, no wastewater discharge permit violations, three pretreatment violations by its industrial users and one sewage system overflow.

For 2023, Dalton Utilities had no water permit violations and no wastewater permit violations. It had 17 pretreatment violations by its industrial users for a 97% compliance rate and four sewage system overflows.
