Dalton Public Schools, Whitfield County Schools on two-hour delays for Thursday

“Due to the potential for hazardous road conditions in the morning, Dalton Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Thursday. All schools will start two hours later than their normal schedule, and buses will also run two hours later than usual.

“We will continue to monitor conditions throughout the week and will communicate any further scheduling changes as needed. Our priority remains the safety and well-being of our students, staff and families.

“Whitfield County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday to allow time for any remaining ice to melt and provide the added safety of daylight for morning travel, helping keep everyone safe on our campuses and roads.”
