Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library to present Author Fest

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library will host its annual Author Fest, celebrating authors, books and literature.

The Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library proudly presents Author Fest. This free, public event will bring together more than 30 authors, screenwriters and artists for a literary-filled day. With a wide range of genres, including but not limited to nonfiction, romance, action-adventure, graphic novels and more, there is something for everyone. There will be an author discussion panel, open mic book and poetry readings, and crafts/activities available to the whole family.

The following discussion panel and book/poetry readings will be available for anyone interested in writing, sharing their work and connecting with other writers and authors:

• 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.: book readings.

• 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.: Creating Compelling Characters.

• 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.: book readings.
