The Bookshelf: Meet Xander Haught, library Patron of the Month

This month, I had the opportunity to interview one of our library regulars, Xander Haught. I got to speak to him about his interests and hobbies, his favorite book and the possibility of a new program.

Question: Tell us a little about yourself.

Haught: I’m creative! I love to build and fix things. My dad has taught me how to build things like a catapult and crossbow. He showed me how to do an oil change. I also love Minecraft.

Question: How do you use the library?

Haught: I use the library for fun activities and reading. My favorite program at the library is Nerf War; I can’t wait for the next one!

Question: Why is the library important to you?

Haught: The library provides fun activities and programs like Nerf War. If I could add any program to the library it would be a Free Build program.

Question: What is your favorite book of all time?

Haught: My favorite book is “Dog Man” by Dav Pilkey. The whole series is great, I especially like the stories. I’ve seen the movie five times.

Question: What was the last book you recommended to a friend?

Haught: I would recommend “Dog Man” by Dav Pilkey.

Question: If you could have three authors over for dinner, who would you invite?

Haught: I would invite Dav Pilkey, Zac Gorman and Satoshi Tajiri.
