Marlie Scoggins of Tunnel Hill graduated with a bachelor of science from the University of Arkansas. The University of Arkansas honored its most recent graduating class with a series of spring commencement ceremonies at Bud Walton Arena and Barnhill Arena.

The following local students graduated Valdosta State University in the class of Spring 2025.

Celeste Brown of Chatsworth earned the Master of Social Work

Nicole Brown of Dalton earned the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design

Thomas Griffith of Cohutta earned the Education Specialist in Teacher Leadership

Anthony Hall of Chatsworth earned the Education Specialist in Teacher Leadership

Cassandra Richardson of Chatsworth earned the Master of Education in Elementary Education

Timothy Robison of Dalton earned the Bachelor of Science in Education in Workforce Education and Development

Jessica Smith of Cohutta earned the Education Specialist in Teacher Leadership

Gerry Favela of Dalton, Georgia, was named to Rhodes College’s Spring 2025 Dean’s List.

Emily Davies, of Dalton, earned dean’s list honors at University of Tampa as a Sophomore in the Spring 2025 semester. Davies is majoring in Design BA. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.

The following students from Dalton earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for Spring 2025 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester.
