New ownership for local Home Instead Senior Care office

The Home Instead Senior Care office serving six counties in northwest Georgia, including Murray and Whitfield, is under new ownership. Originally opened in October 1996 by James and Sandra Gardenhire, the franchise office is now owned and operated by Donna Frasier.

Based in Dalton, the local office continues to help a growing number of seniors remain in their homes as they age. The company’s CAREGivers, who are screened, trained, bonded and insured, provide companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands and shopping that can help keep seniors independent.

Prior to purchasing the local franchise, Frasier worked at the Home Instead Senior Care office in Tullahoma, Tenn. She graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and taught in the Tennessee public school system for 10 years.

“I love the elderly and receive personal satisfaction from helping them,” Frasier said. “We believe very strongly in the service we offer, and we want to make it available to the people in this part of Georgia.”
