Bobby L. Cochran

Bobby L. Cochran, 70, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, Jan. 22, 2011, at his home in the Browns Church Community near Echo, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Lillis Cochran; his brothers, Delmer and Cecil Cochran; and his sisters, Minnie Hollis, Genevieve Ellis, and Myrtle Franks.

Bobby was born in Dalton and attended school there. He joined the United States Army in 1956 and served 11 years.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Betty Snell Cochran; his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Joey Brock of Vernon, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Cassie Cochran of Skipperville. Five grandchildren also survive: Taylor, Zane, and Zoie Cochran, and Casey and Hunter Brock.  Survivors also include sisters and a brother-in-law, Bertha Wales and Betty and Dee Jones; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Frances Cochran, Hershall and Ella Cochran, and Lloyd Cochran, all of Dalton.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. Central Time from the chapel at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark. Burial will be in Browns U.M.C. Cemetery near Echo.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m. today.
