The purpose is to raise money to buy malaria nets for children in Africa. The nets literally can save a child’s life and help eradicate this deadly illness.
During the campaign, which was in April, the St. Mark’s Preschool children learned about mosquitoes, nets and being a hero by helping others. The preschoolers took Hope Boxes home to collect money to buy the nets, frequently earning the money by doing chores around the house. At the end of the campaign St. Mark’s children learned they had raised more than $300 which will purchase 30 nets for the children in Africa.
