Rema Barnett

Mr. Rema Barnett, 88, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011.

He was born in Dalton on Jan. 3, 1923. He is a retired senior master sergeant of the U.S. Air Force after 27 years. He moved to the Ocala, Fla., area in 1998 from Aldephi, Md.

Rema is survived by his loving wife Audrey of 61 years; one son Paul Alexander Barnett (Cynthia Ann) of Fleetwood, Pa.; one daughter, Susan Denise Stewart of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Mary Ann Barnett of Dalton; two grandchildren, Michael and Allison; one great-granddaughter, Madeline.

He was a loving husband and father that loved reading and traveling.

He is preceded in death by two sisters, Dixie and Polly, and one brother, Pete.

There will be a gathering of friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Homes, Bruce Chapel West, 6241 SW SR 200 in Ocala (www.robertsfuneralhomes.com). 

A graveside service will take place at Florida National Cemetery on Monda at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project.org or Vets Helping Vets.org.
