Ralph J. Schneider

Ralph J. Schneider, 83, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Roman Court Assisted Living in Rome.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McBrayer Schneider; parents, Trammell and Lela Schneider; and brother, Clarence Schneider.

He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean conflict.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Barry Kincaid of Dalton; grandchildren, Jerome and LaRita Hollis, and Mitchell and Holly Hollis, all of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Nikki, Brett, Tori, Lane and Landon, all of Dalton; sisters, Emma Keith, Ann Mallett, Starr Whaley and Robbie Parsons; brother, George Schneider of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service to honor the life of Ralph Schneider will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Darey Kittle and the Rev. Walter Hare officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
