Eva Mae Smith

Mrs. Eva Mae Smith, 80, of Chatsworth, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at her residence.

She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Smith; parents, Will and Laura Crook; and a sister, Mildred McArthur.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, J.H. and Kathy Smith, Billy and Teresa Smith, and Randall Smith, all of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Joe Rampley of Chatsworth, and Donna and Delbert Bryson of Dalton; brothers and sister-in-law, Virgil Crook, and Odis and Relda Crook, all of Resaca; sisters, Mable Haygood of Resaca and Opal Scott of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Rhett Smith, Libby Smith, Tim Jeffers, Dr. Brandon Smith, Terran Smith, Brian Smith, Brittany Martin, Brooke Smith, Josh Bryson, Natasha Bryson, Issac Reed and Jeremie Harrell; great-grandchildren, Alison Smith, Tori Jeffers, Colten Smith, Madison Martin, Katie Martin, Gracie Martin, Ansley Reed, Addison Reed and Karma Harrell; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Thomason officiating.

Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends on Monday.
