Minnie D. Swift

Minnie D. Swift, 95, of Cohutta, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Swift; two sons, James and Irand Bailey and a daughter, Ellen Ruth Bailey.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Knight of Chatsworth, Betty and Tex Gillian of Cohutta, Janice and Dennis Norman, Etta and James Bennett and Mamie Brogdon, all of Cleveland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The funeral is today at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerome Mitchell officiating.

Burial will at Ooltewah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Bailey, Larry Knight, Allen Knight, Charles Knight, Jon Brogdon and Joshua Brogdon.

The family received friends at the funeral home Thursday.
