Editor’s note: On Feb. 22, 2018, the District Attorney’s Office after further review of the evidence announced it would not pursue a theft by receiving stolen property charge against Robert Allen Lynch. Another person, James Andrew Baker, pled guilty to the theft charge.

• Preston Allen Clark, 39, 4818 Tibbs Bridge Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Jeremiah Hudon Elrod, 42, 1231 Beaverdale Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale of meth.

• Jeffery Farrel Fowler, 50, 256 Oxbow Way, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with sale or intent to sell marijuana, two counts of possession of meth with the intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a schedule 2 drug, two counts of possession of a schedule 4 drug, three counts of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth, two counts of possession of the tools for the commission of a crime and failure to appear.

• Danny Tyrese Harlan, 37, 2087 Upper Ridge Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• James Terry Jackson, 61, 870 Highway 286, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Debra M. Minarik, 57, 360 S. Second Ave., Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Christopher Dewayne Preavette, 30, 182 Sunrise Lane, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony failure to appear and felony bail jumping.

• Keoshia Latrice Starling, 21, 3207 Hoyt St., Chattanooga, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with failure to appear and by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with fugitive from justice (Hamilton County, Tenn.).

• Christian Marquis Washington, 24, 1401 Belmont Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, taking contraband across guard lines and reckless driving.

• Scottie Lee Weaver, 35, 1033 School House Road, Calhoun, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• David Michael Welch, 45, 2021 Highway 52 Alternate, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 1 drug and possession of drug-related objects.

• Duane Edward West, 52, 212 Hudson Way, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of meth, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, reckless driving, driving while license is suspended or revoked, driving without insurance, use of license plate to conceal identity of vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended/revoked/canceled, fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer and an open container violation.

• Jamie Lee Wilson, 39, 162 Forrest Hill Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of a schedule 2 drug, possession of a schedule 4 drug, driving while license is suspended or revoked and operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended/ revoked/canceled.

• Robert Lynch, 57, 121 Bamboo Way, Cohutta, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with felony theft by receiving stolen property.

• Angela Lynn Waters, 28, 1285 Mauldin Road-11, Calhoun, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI.
