Tyler Whaley
Mr. Tyler Whaley, 20, of Calhoun, and formerly of Dalton, died Wednesday, Dec.12, 2007, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., after his hard fought battle with leukemia.
He was a 2006 graduate of Calhoun High School and had just completed his freshmen year at Dalton State College. He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Robin Garmany Gordy of Calhoun; father, Dale Whaley of Chattanooga; sister, Hannah Leigh Gordy of Calhoun; brother, Adam Chandler Gordy of Calhoun; stepbrother, Caleb Channing Whaley of Chattanooga; grandparents, Doug and Virginia Garmany of Dalton; Clarice and Darin Whaley of Dalton; aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
Services will be Saturday at noon at the Belmont Baptist Church, 126 W. Belmont Drive, Calhoun, with the Rev. Kelly Cohea officiating.
Burial will be in Fain Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
