Area Arrests for Feb. 6

Editor’s note: The following information is compiled from public records taken from reports from local law enforcement agencies.

• Benny Lee Carter, 34, 119 Academy Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with fugitive from justice and by the Dalton Police Department with misdemeanor failure to appear.

• Alfonso Aguirre, 22, 111 Jeanette Drive, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with kidnapping (adult), battery and burglary (no forced entry, dwelling).

• Jabari Sadat Patterson, 37, 1705 Walton Lane, Smyrna, was charged Wednesday by the Georgia State Patrol with aggravated assault (weapon), DUI, open container violation, misdemeanor willful obstruction of law officers, two counts of speeding, reckless driving, running a red light, driver to exercise due care/proper use of phones and radios, felony fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer, failure to maintain lane, aggressive driving, driving with a suspended or revoked license and safety belts violation.
