The League of Women Voters of the Dalton Area will host two events to prepare Whitfield County voters for the 2024 general election.
One is an informational session on a proposed constitutional amendment (state House Resolution 1022) that would limit the increases in assessed values of homesteads. This will be Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. at Logan’s Roadhouse. Representatives from the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners, Dalton Public Schools and Whitfield County Schools will share how this amendment, if approved, would impact their funding.
