Area Arrests for March 25

Editor’s note: The following information is compiled from public records taken from reports from local law enforcement agencies.

• Betty Renae Thomas, 42, 736 Smyrna Circle, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of meth.

• Glenn Thomas Hogan, 37, 65 Otelia Lane, Covington, was charged Friday by the Chatsworth Police Department with obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation/forgery/fraud/deception or theft.

• Samantha Lashay Oglesby, 32, 84 Old Federal Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts, misdemeanor willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, fleeing/attempting to elude police, hit and run and aggravated assault.

• Darby Sam Whitmire, 23, 201 Shallowford Road, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with fugitive from justice (Hamilton County, Tennessee).

• Michael Brian Ragland, 50, 1215 Clearbrook Court, Fort Oglethorpe, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with financial transaction card fraud.

• James Derek Ely, 38, 329 Old Federal Road S., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of meth and felony probation violation.

• Ryan Anthony Scoggins, 40, 727 W. Fort St., Chatsworth, was charged Saturday by the Chatsworth Police Department with DUI (less safe), speeding, failure to obey a traffic control device and possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance.

• Melissa Ann Voyles, 43, 382 Cherokee Trail N.W., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI, open container violation and misdemeanor willful obstruction of law officers.

• Steven Hall Amerson, 49, 1918 Azalea Drive, Perry, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Kenia Hurtado-Ortega, 27, 1001 Nelson St., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Immanuel Paul Jimmy Folks, 23, 4177 Brown Bridge Road-K, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI (multiple substances), failure to maintain lane and following too closely.

• Bandy Anne Jordan, 34, 3666 Colston Lane, Tunnel Hill, was charged Sunday by the Chatsworth Police Department with standards for brake lights violation and DUI (less safe).

• Shawn Michael Hamlin, 51, 7060 Way Bridge Drive, Cumming, was charged Sunday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with improper lane change/failure to maintain lane, failure to obey a stop sign or yield after stopping, DUI and open container violation.

• Sergio Victor Sanchez, 17, 581 Bud Holland Road, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, open container violation, failure to maintain lane, restricted license violation and speeding.

• Alan Misael Castro, 28, 209 Periwinkle Way, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI.

• Hadley Julieanna Nelson, 21, 1903 Villa Way, Dalton, was charged Sunday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• Curtis James Byrd, 39, 2220 Chattanooga Road-160, Dalton, was charged Monday by the Dalton Police Department with first-degree forgery and misdemeanor theft of services.
