Wilma Katherine Woodring

Mrs. Wilma Katherine Woodring, 79, of Chatsworth passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Stella Ballew; former husband, John Paul Cowart, and a son, Wayne Cowart.

Survivors include her husband, Waldon Woodring; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Floyd Chambers, Janelle and Robert Smith, Sharon and Mitchell Hipsley; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Becky Cowart, all of Chatsworth; daugher-in-law, Sue Cowart of Ranger; stepsons, Steve Woodring of Dalton and Gary Woodring of Chatsworth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Effie and James Bishop, Loretta and Claud Springfield, Fay and Charles Silvers; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Jackie Ballew, all of Chatsworth; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, other extended family members.

Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Gospel Way Baptist Church with the Rev. Junior Johns and the Rev. Freddy Bell officiating.

Burial will be in Holly Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today after 6 p.m. until the funeral hour Saturday.

Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth is in charge of arrangements.
