BREAKING NEWS: Embassy Suites to build hotel in Dalton

The Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center Authority accepted a proposal from developer John Q. Hammons to build a hotel next to the trade center Wednesday. Hammons’ proposal calls for a 220- to 240-room, full-service Embassy Suites hotel. A letter of intent sent by the authority to Hammons annticpates groundbreaking on the hotel to begin no later than spring of 2008. Trade center officials say no taxpayer money will be used to build the hotel.
