BREAKING NEWS: Crash victim identified

A 79-year-old Rocky Face man died after his car ran off Houston Valley Road near its intersection with Fields Road shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, officials said.

Gene Segars was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head trauma, according to Whitfield County coroner Bobbie Dixon. Segars was the only person in the car, according to an operator with the Georgia State Patrol.
