Mr. Ralph Poteet Sr., 87, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Regency Park Nursing Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard M. and Ollie Mae Holcomb Poteet; and a brother, John W. Poteet.

He was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Patricia Poteet of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Rufus Burden of Elberton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Maurine Poteet of Dalton, and Farris and Jane Poteet of Dalton; grandchildren, McKinley Poteet, and Allie Travis; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m. today.

Burial will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
