Michael “Mike” Duncan

Michael “Mike” Duncan, 62, of Chickamauga, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, in a local hospital.

He had lived in Florida before moving to North Georgia 17 years ago. Mr. Duncan had resided in Jasper, Chatsworth and Chickamauga. He was a member of Chickamauga First Baptist Church. Mr. Duncan was a nursing supervisor for NHC Rossville and was preceded in death by his father, Esker Duncan Sr.; and brother, Richard Esker Duncan Sr.

Survivors are his loving wife of nine years, Zerita Duncan; sons, Shawn Duncan of Chickamauga and Shane (Stephanie) Duncan of Jasper; daughter, Amanda Gmyrek of Chickamauga; stepdaughter, LaWanda Neighbors of Chickamauga; and grandchildren, Leah Duncan, Alex Gmyrek, Tanner Neighbors, Piper Duncan, Nicholas Neighbors, and Willow Duncan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
