Car hits convenience store

A driver whose car slammed into a convenience store Friday afternoon was not injured and neither were any customers or employees in the store, said a Whitfield 911 spokeswoman.

The mishap at 4:13 p.m. occurred at the Kangaroo Express 3512 at the juncture of Cleveland Highway and Dawnville Road. The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office worked the wreck but a report was not available. A phone call to the store went unanswered.
