James “Shorty” Bradley

James “Shorty” Bradley, 69, of the Mill Creek Community, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Renow B. and Annie M. Bradley; sister, Juanita Sue Quinn; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Breanna McBryear.

Mr. Bradley was of the Baptist Faith

Survivors include his wife, Georgia E. Bradley of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Jimmy Brackett of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Tammy Bradley and Chris Bradley, all of Rocky Face; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Hyal Angland of Lafayette, Zell Denton of Cleveland, Tenn., and Cynthia and George Hill of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Sybil Bradley of Dalton, Kenneth Bradley of Tunnel Hill, and Ronald Bradley of Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer and George McBryear, Michael Lamar Bradley and James Renow Bradley; one great-grandchild, Hunter McBryear; nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Lillard Stringer and Rev. Wayne Gribble officiating.

Burial will be in Lindsey Memorial Cemetery with Andrew Thompson, Scott Newman, Junior Lance, Tony Bellas, Carl Quinn and Virgil Alton serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m.
