Cohutta man killed in wreck Thursday night

A two-vehicle wreck Thursday night killed a Cohutta man and another individual was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.

A Georgia State Patrol operator said James Goble, 46, was driving west on Cohutta-Beaverdale Road around 9:40 p.m when he lost control on a curve and ran off the road, then overcorrected and crossed back over the center line, striking another vehicle head on.

Services for Goble will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth with the Rev. Vince Goble officiating. Burial will be in Center Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today after 5 p.m. until the funeral on Sunday.
