This is a promotional fundraiser that invites children to meet and spend a morning or afternoon with the characters from the show, including Lumiere, the charming candelabra (Josh Parrott); Cogsworth, the uptight mantle clock (A.D. McDaniel); and Babette, the flirtatious feather duster (Grace Kling, Spencer McCraven).
In addition, the children will have punch and cookies with Mrs. Potts (Tanner Blackton), the motherly tea pot, and Chip (Ebbie Belles), the slightly cracked fun-loving tea cup; hear a story read to them by Mrs. Potts; have a keepsake picture taken with Belle (Lizzie Baker, Katie Beth Jewell), and the Prince (Hunter Ford), or Belle and the Beast (Caleb Satterfield); and be treated to a special sneak preview of a musical number from the show (“Be Our Guest”) featuring the entire cast.
Finally, participants will be given a ticket voucher good for a ticket to the show on a night of their choosing.
Tickets for “Tea with Mrs. Potts” are $15. For more information or to make a reservation, call Dalton High School or contact DHS drama director Wes Phinney at wes.phinney@dalton.k12.ga.us.
